Shopping on Line

Shopping online with Toscana is as safe, if not safer, than shopping in an actual store. This site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the latest industry standard encryption, to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your credit card information under our control. In the same way department stores use EFTPOS terminals to process credit card transactions.

Once Toscana 's has processed a transaction against a credit card number, we do not store the card number, even against your order.

Unlike giving credit card details over the phone, our online system automatically encrypts all your details using SSL V3 encryption standard.


How To

To shop on line just select the product you wish to purchase by selecting from the drop down box, enter a quantity and add to your list by clicking ‘add to list’. When the product is added to your list 'item added' will appear. You will notice a padlock icon on the base of your browser when you enter into our 'checkout'. This indicates that all information entered in the session is secure.


Sending Gifts

You can send a gift to someone using the same method you would place an order for yourself. When you enter the 'checkout', replace your default address details with the receiver's information and the goods will be delivered there without affecting your default details for future orders. Indicate that the order is a gift by clicking the box provided. We will send the receipt with the goods to the person you have nominated, without the prices shown. A message can be sent with the gift, include your wording in the space provided. We do require a contact name, phone number and address of the gift recipient, which we would use only if there are problems during delivery.

You can purchase Toscana gift vouchers for your friends & family. They can be sent either 'electronically' through e-mail, or as a hard copy sent through the post.

When the voucher is sent 'electronically', it is forwarded to the receiver's e-mail address and can be redeemed using a secret code which is enclosed within the e-mail. If you do prefer to have a hard copy of the voucher sent through the post, we can forward on a picture postcard to yourself or the receiver. Vouchers can be sent for any amount from $25 to $500. A hard copy voucher sent through the mail is beautifully presented, personalised and printed on linen card.


Personal Info

To complete an order you may place via our website, it is necessary for us to collect certain information from you. The type of customer information we ask for includes name and address for billing and delivery purposes, day phone number, email address, and product preferences.

Toscana takes seriously the issue of our customer's privacy, and has taken the appropriate measures to ensure with confidence that any information given to us by our customers is protected. We recognise the sensitivity of your personal information and will never share your details with any other organisation.

You can generally visit this Website without telling us who you are or revealing other Personal Information and we will not collect any Personal Information about you except when you knowingly provide it.


Postage & Delivery

Your parcel will be delivered by Australian Post, during normal business hours. Upon delivery the goods must be signed for, so a work address might be more convienent. If there is no one at the location at the time of delivery the parcel will be taken to your local post office for you to collect and a card will be left advising you of this. We deliver to P.O. Boxes. Allow 3- 7 working days delivery.


Membership

Unlike many other sites, a customer is not required to become a member in order to purchase from our website. We collect and store customer membership information for the following reasons:

  • To ease the process of ordering. Keeping your information on record means you will not be required to re-enter this information next time you shop, although you will be able to update it.
  • If a non-member customer makes a purchase via our mail order service or the website, their details are only recorded on their individual order.
  • Membership with Toscana is the best & easiest way to shop with us. Checkout is faster, your order information is available to you online to track and you will receive the continuing benefits that we offer our members (ie: special free postage promotions, email updates, special online sales etc). All your orders can be viewed online after you have signed in whether you have purchased online or over the phone. You can change your password for increased security, and reset it if you have forgotten it.



For Your Information

All orders are subject to availability of stock. Our range is an extension of our shop at Main Beach, Gold Coast. We have an eclectic selection of goods that is not produced in vast quantities. Generally once a particular item has sold out it cannot be repeated. We are happy to advise and help with alternative choices.

We reserve the right to cancel any order. We will notify immediately of this action using e-mail or phone number/s provided. Monies will be refunded using the original method received.

We reserve the right to take reasonable steps to verify that the order and credit details are bona fide.


Returns & Exchanges

Toscana replaces any goods that arrive at their destination faulty or damaged. Delivery costs for goods returned, under these circumstances will be refunded. To return goods please include the following information:

  • Copy of the packing slip and receipt, including the order number
  • The reason for the return
  • Your day time phone number

If you would like to exchange colour or style, please follow the same instructions as above indicating your requirements, and include $5 (cheque, money order or credit card details) for re-delivery within Australia. A refund will be processed by cheque or re-imbursing your credit card if we are unable to replace or exchange the goods returned.
